چکیده

Background and Aim: Salmonellosis is a significant foodborne disease that causes serious illness in the gastrointestinal of humans it public health problem worldwide. This study aimed to determine Salmonella spp. animal feeds, its characteristic, serovar identification, genotyping, drug sensitivity. Materials Methods: from feedstuffs was collected January 1 December 31, 2017, with 657 samples. Serogroup classification performed by using slide agglutination test. Then, samples were analyzed for genotype patterns pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) DNA fingerprint antibiotic sensitivity Vitek® 2 techniques. Results: A total 80 (12.17 %) found be positive; commercial feed compounds 60 (75%); soybean meal 10 (12.5%); pork 5 (6.25%); fish three (3.75%) poultry (2.5%). Serogroups B, C, D, E this study; 8 (10%), 39 (48.75%), 13 (16.25%), respectively. 12 (15%) not determined serogrouping. The most common serovars Rissen Mbandaka (8.75%), Livingstone (6.25%), which belong serogroup C. Nine eleven pulsotypes detected when PFGE, showed similarity index between 40.8 100 %. Antimicrobial susceptibility tests compact 11 strains classified into groups: resistance 4, 8, antibiotics, out 20 antibiotics. Conclusion: revealed annual variation Serovar, genotype, phenotype raw materials involved people must aware. Keywords: compounds, spp., serotype.

Phenotypic and genotypic antimicrobial resistance and virulence genes of Salmonella enterica isolated from pet dogs and cats

Salmonella enterica isolates (n = 122), including 32 serotypes from 113 dogs and 9 cats, were obtained from household dogs (n = 250) and cats (n = 50) during 2012-2015. The isolates were characterized by serotyping, antimicrobial resistance phenotyping and genotyping, and virulence gene screening. Serovars Weltevreden (15.6%) and Typhimurium (13.9%) were the most common. The majority (43%) of t...

Phenotypic and genotypic antimicrobial resistance of staphylococci from bovine milk.

The aim of this study was to examine phenotypic and genotypic antimicrobial resistance of staphylococci from milk samples from cows with subclinical and clinical mastitis and from cows without mastitis symptoms to methicillin, tetracyclines, macrolides and lincosamides (ML). Of 207 strains, including 34 S. aureus and 173 coagulase-negative staphylococci (CNS), 11 (6.4%) CNS strains were phenoty...

Phenotypic and genotypic studies of extended spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) resistance among Salmonella isolates from poultry sources in Iran

BACKGROUND: Poultry and poultry products are among the major sources of Salmonella infections for humans. Increasing occurrence of antimicrobial resistance among Salmonellae has become a serious public health concern. The detection of extended spectrum b-lactamase (ESBL) producers among Salmonella spp. has increased in recent years. OBJECTIVES: The purpose of this study was to investigate the a...

Phenotypic and Genotypic Analysis of Antimicrobial Resistance among Listeria monocytogenes Isolated from Australian Food Production Chains

The current global crisis of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) among important human bacterial pathogens has been amplified by an increased resistance prevalence. In recent years, a number of studies have reported higher resistance levels among Listeria monocytogenes isolates, which may have implications for treatment of listeriosis infection where resistance to key treatment antimicrobials is not...
